Role Summary
As a Pre Construction Coordinator, you will support our Chief Project Officer in the early stages of each project, ensuring seamless transitions from concept to execution. This includes estimating, scheduling, proposal creation, and coordination with subcontractors and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in client meetings and assist with proposals and bids
Coordinate estimates, gather subcontractor quotes, and build takeoffs
Prepare project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments
Ensure accurate handoff of information to field teams
Track permits, drawings, and pre-approval documents
Assist in value engineering and constructability reviews
Maintain organized project records via Buildertrend and Google Workspace
Foster relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
2–4 years of experience in construction estimating or coordination
Strong understanding of construction terminology and processes
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with BC permits and pre-construction documentation
Background in client-facing or sales roles
Knowledge of bidding systems like BC Bid or BidCentral
PMP or CEC certification
